Over the past month, as the world has confronted a global pandemic, the nurses, midwives, doctors and community health workers that Jhpiego works so closely with have jumped into action—delivering excellent health care services even in the midst of COVID-19. We know that cervical cancer doesn’t stop for the novel coronavirus. Mosquitos still bite. Pregnant women still deserve a skilled midwife at their side. But much has changed, too. Our expertise in digital and mobile health technologies has helped thousands of health workers build COVID-19 skills. Community health workers mobilized by Jhpiego’s HIV and malaria programs are educating their communities on this new threat. Together, in countries across the world, we aim to turn the tide against this pandemic.
