Recognizing that reductions in maternal, newborn and child deaths have stalled, country leaders at the recent World Health Assembly agreed to specific actions to save lives, including prioritizing primary health care.
Jhpiego receives $1.8 million to support Africa health tech hub
Jhpiego has been awarded $1,860,000 to co-manage with partner, Villgro Africa, a hybrid pan-African health tech accelerator based in Kigali, Rwanda. The hub aims to drive the development of health technologies in Africa, but also to actively fast-track integration of innovations into public health systems. The Novartis Foundation, Global Fund and McGovern Foundation provided the 1-year funding.
